New Neighbourhood Watch Zones, 'You Say, We Go', Upcoming Joint Councillor Meetings & Community updates

Good afternoon everyone,

Firstly, apologies if I missed anyone at Farmadine yesterday. I was unable to attend the street surgery due to an incident on the Brook (New Inn Lane side) involving a group of 4 males who were suspected of having cannabis on their persons. There was also a motorbike present on the path with them. Two of the males made off, two were stop searched, their details obtained and they were moved on. 

The surgery at Farmadine will be repeated TONIGHT (02/08/2025) 18:45 – 19:00

Neighbourhood Watch 

I am very happy to report that a new Neighbourhood Watch Zone has been created in Wessex Dr, Omega Way, Huron Gr & Ontario Way. On 31/07/2025 I visited every address within the new zone, spoke with residents and delivered welcome packs.

Over the coming weeks and months new zones will be created throughout the area, with my aim of creating of 1 new zone each month as a minimum.

‘You Say, We Go 

During many of my patrols over the last few days I have attended a number of locations that were requested by residents, both recently and historically. These included….

Canal Patrol - On 29/07/2025 I completed a patrol of the canal from Hanford to the bridge at Jonathan Rd. Along the way I met residents from Trentham, Barlaston, Stafford and a walking group - I am happy to report that no issues were encountered. 

Pedestrian Crossing A34 - Stone Road

On 28/07/2025 I spent time at the Pedestrian crossings, Stone Rd (A34), closest to the Trentham Gardens roundabout. This was due to reports of vehicles not stopping for the red lights. No issues were encountered during this patrol, however I will continue to do as many of these patrols as frequently as I can.  

On 29/07/2025 I completed a patrol at New Park Gardens following a request by residents. I look forward to completing many more patrols here and it has been included in the upcoming Police Street Surgeries -(details below). 

Police & Councillors Joint Surgery

Quite often on patrol I speak to residents who raise Police issues, Council issues and sometimes there is a mixture of both. Therefore, once every two months myself and local Councillors will be holding a joint surgery. 

The next meeting will be Monday 11th August 2025 18:30 – 19:30 at the Trentham Community Library, Allerton Road, ST4 8PQ 

The previous meeting, I felt was really productive. This is a great opportunity for residents to come along, raise and discuss issues, and together, as a community, we can problem solve and look at solutions to these matters. I really look forward to seeing everyone there!

Trentham Central Residents Association (TCRA)

On 31/07/2025 I attended the Trentham Central Residents Association monthly meeting - In attendance was Dr Allison Gardner MP. It was great opportunity to discuss local matters and to give an update of the work the Police are doing in the area. The group would like as many residents to come along to the meetings as possible- as soon as I know the dates of upcoming meetings I will let you know. 

Care home visits. 

On 29/07/2025 I attended Hanford Manor Care Home following being invited to a residents meeting. 

I spoke to the residents about my role in the community and answered plenty of questions. Thank you to the staff for the invite and I look forward to returning very soon!!

On 30/07/2025 I attended Lindly House Care Home and introduced myself to staff and residents. 

Over the coming weeks and months I will be calling in frequently to all of our Care Homes, where I hope to get to know the residents and help to ensure that they know and feel that they are very much apart of our community.
