Yesterday evening PCSOs Lucy and Sadie were flagged down to assist with a medical emergency.
With assistance from Response Officers, Ambulance and Police Medics, the person was able to receive the appropriate care.
While we understand that these situations can be distressing to witnesses, we kindly ask that members of the public do not crowd around or attempt to intervene unless specifically asked by Officers. Distractions or interference, even well meaning, can delay vital treatment and place extra pressure on emergency services. It may also be embarrassing for the person involved to be stared at or photographed whilst in a medical episode.
Officers will continue to patrol throughout the evenings and will be there if you require any assistance.
