Nelson Park run at Victoria Park Nelson

Hello everyone

I just wanted to share my experience of taking part in the park run on Sunday just gone. I have to say that it was most enjoyable and one that you need to experience. 

I arrived at Victoria Park Nelson at 0845 hours and for a few minutes i was on my own. By 9am there was around 20 people present including Mesam and Sean who have kindly set this up. There was people from all backgrounds, ages and abilities which was great to see.

After a warm up from Sean it was then time to take part in a number of sprints which got rid of a few cobwebs to say the least. The downpour of rain was very welcoming i have to say. This was followed by some more running working in pairs and then a warm down to finish off with. 

Everyone then congregated in the Pavilion where a refreshing cup of Ice water awaited us followed by a nice cuppa.

It was really nice to see everyone getting along and having a chat. 

The Prosper partnership operation is about building stronger and more resilient communities and this is a brilliant way to do that. 

Rather than spending Sunday morning lounging in bed, come down and see for yourselves. It doesn't matter about ability so come on and i will see you there.
