Reporting mechanisms regarding the use of Off Road Bikes within your area.

๐Ÿšจ South Staffordshire Police are aware of the concerns surrounding the use of e-bikes, e-scooters, and off-road bikes in our local communities. To effectively address this issue, we rely on information from residents to help us target problem areas.

๐Ÿ“ If you witness these vehicles being ridden or stored illegally, please report:

  • Time and date of the activity
  • Specific locations where it's happening
  • Details of any recurring incidents
  • ๐Ÿ“ž You can report this via:

  • 101 for non-emergencies
  • 999 in urgent situations
  • Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111 for anonymous tips
  • โš ๏ธ Remember:

  • Privately owned e-scooters are illegal to use on public roads, pavements, and cycle lanes.
  • Off-road bikes used in public spaces without permission are subject to seizure under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.
  • ๐Ÿš“ Staffordshire Police have been actively tackling this issue through targeted operations. In July 2025, officers stopped a motorcyclist in Penkridge and discovered a Stanley knife and cannabis. The rider was charged with multiple offences including possession of a bladed article, drug offences, and riding without a helmet. You can read the full update on Staffordshire Policeโ€™s July enforcement report.

South Staffs officers are committed to keeping our roads and public spaces safe. Your reports help us take action where it's needed most.
