We would like to remind everyone to be vigilant when individuals presenting as tradesmen call on your property, sadly we have seen a continued presence of this type of activity in the area. Usually, they will present themselves as working in the area and offer a discounted service as they are there. We urge all residents not to enter into agreements with cold callers offering these sorts of deals. We do understand that it can be tempting especially with the current difficulties finding tradespeople to do some of the smaller jobs.
In partnership with Lancashire Constabulary and Lancashire Trading Standards, LANPAC have produced cold calling stickers designed to be displayed in windows, serving as a deterrent to unwanted cold callers. If you or anyone you know would like to receive one of these stickers, please email lanpac@lancashire.police.uk or 7746@lancashire.police.uk
