News from the week |

On 24/07 myself and PC PERRY have been part of a joint visit with Community Housing. We had been given information that an address was being Cuckooed. This is when a house is used by others, who are unwelcome, to live and or sell drugs. This normally happens to vulnerable people who live alone. With this in mind please keep an eye out for any vulnerable residents around you and call the police or housing if you have any concerns of suspicious activity or visitors. On this occasion we were able to return the house to the vulnerable person and we have put things in place to protect them, including putting signage up:
I also attended an RTC (Road Traffic Collision) A male on a quad bike was involved in an incident and banged his head, he was taken to hospital but believed to be ok. Just remember even if it isn’t the law to wear helmets they can save your life! Riding a quad bike, motorbike, bicycle, scooter or skate board remember to wear at least a helmet. These are not jobs I like to attend, I don’t like to see anyone injured but unfortunately it happens. Please do what you can to protect yourself. #RideSafe
You may have seen me on 26/07 at an event on GREAT FIELD ROAD, KIDDERMINSTER. Was a really nice event and busy. I was able to chat to a lot of people and give safety advice. Many photos were taken in all sorts of police attire, that we had to offer. Always good to speak to people, hear their stories and answer any questions.
Today the OLDINGTON AND FOLEY team have been part of a warrant, this is explained more on the West Mercia Facebook page but our little part of it was helping to get some drugs off the street. Seizing 13 wraps believed to be class A.
As started earlier, let us know if you see any suspicious activity in the area as it may help us build a picture of what’s happening. Don’t be disheartened if nothing happens straight away, the information you give us may be used to look at a bigger picture you may not be aware of. I also found out today about an old case I have been part of, the male has received 36 months imprisonment for GBH (Grievous Bodily Harm). It feels good knowing that the hard work investigating and going to court can pay off.
We will be out on a WALK AND TALK around SEVERN GROVE, KIDDERMINSTER on 06/08/2025 meeting at 10am Also at the Leisure centre on SILVERWOODS WAY, KIDDERMINSTER for their event on 06/08/2025 around 12pm - 3pm
It may be a little late in the day to actually take part in this but today is NATIONAL CLIMB A MOUNTAIN DAY. I love the outdoors and climbing mountains, so maybe use today to make plans to go for an adventure yourself, be it a mountain or a walk in the park. Even consider this day as encouragement to overcome an obstacle in your life that feels like a mountain. #GetSupport #SpeakOut
Enjoy the rest of your week, now we are passed “hump day” its all down hill to the weekend. I will see you all when I’m back Monday 4th August (AUGUST!! Where has the year gone). | ||||||||
