East Malling Village Fete

Hello Everybody!

This afternoon, I had the pleasure of attending the East Malling Village Fete alongside PC Warner, and PC Mundy from the Child Centred Policing Team. The event was very well attended, with a high volume of footfall and a vibrant mix of families and young children.

Our presence, particularly the marked police vehicle, attracted significant interest—especially from enthusiastic children who were keen to try on our police hats (with some reluctance to give them back!). The fete provided an excellent opportunity to engage with members of the public from a wide range of backgrounds, many of whom shared their perspectives on local policing.

We were also pleased to see a strong uptake in My Community Voice sign-ups, helping to strengthen our ongoing communication with the community.

Events like these are invaluable in building trust, fostering positive relationships, and promoting the work of Kent Police in a friendly and approachable setting.
