COMMUNITY ESTATE DAY - LEYFIELDS

Yesterday (29/07/2025), officers from our neighbourhood team and linked in with partners from @TamworthBoroughCouncil for a Community Estate Day on the Leyfields.

The event was to give local residents an opportunity to seek advice or support from either agency or to simply come and say hello.

As ever we gave kids, both young & old, a chance to wear some uniform and kit.

Issues raised with Police were:

We were already aware of the male in the tent and this was dealt with accordingly by the local officer.

Nuisance motorbikes is an issue across the borough. We continue to tackle this as best we can and have been seizing bikes and issuing warnings & notices to offenders. Sadly, it remains an ongoing battle.

Drugs use/supply: any information gathered will be added on to our intelligence system for development and potential action. The council were also made aware where persons/properties mentioned were their tenants.
