Knowle Weekly Update

Hello,

This week we have visited Birchmere Care Home for their summer fayre and had a great time speaking to some of our elder residents of Knowle. We have also had our first Beat Surgery at the Masonic Centre where we provide an opportunity for the community to come and speak to us about anything on their mind. We hope to make this a regular meeting so if you have the time to pop by we would love to see you – we will advertise when these are taking place.

What crime has happened in the last 9 Days?

  • Theft of Motor Vehicle – 10/07 – St Johns Close
    • Ford van stolen and has since been recovered.
  •

    Crime prevention advice:

We have had some reports of some possible “Nottingham Knockers” or “Bogus Callers” in Knowle. This is when people come to your door and either try to sell you things or offer services such as cleaning guttering or fixing your roof. We advise residents to always check before you open the door to these people. Please check in on your elderly neighbours and family members as it can be quite scary having people at your door demanding money. We offer “No Cold Caller” signs – get in touch if you would like one rural@westmidlands.police.uk.

What are we up to next week?

  • Speedwatch in Knowle – so watch your speed!
  • Streetwatch patrol with volunteers targeting key areas of Knowle
  •

Follow us on X - @ruralswmp to see what we are getting up to day to day.

Email the team at rural@westmidlands.police.uk for any questions, concerns, advice or engagements.

Thank you for your continued support
