South Wigston

Your local beat team has been busy as always this 6-day set:

-Started the week with PCSO Dom covering the front office at Wigston Police Station, taking crime reports from members of the public

-Conducted a Patch Walk with a representative of Oadby & Wigston Borough Counci, discussing local issues 

-CCTV, Statements and evidential exhibits have been obtained for multiple investigations 

-High visibility patrols, on foot and in vehicles, have been carried out in ASB hotspots 

-Speed detection in areas most reported by the public 

-Attended not one, but two reports of sheep in the road (none were found, I think someone was trying to pull the wool over our eyes!) 

-Assisted in the arrest of a violent individual suspected of drink driving as well as other offences 

...As well as attending Grade 1 (emergency) calls when required, submitting evidence and case files for long standing complaints and local issues, and assisting neighbouring policing areas with other emergencies such as searching for missing persons.
