🚨 Aggressive Male Arrested After Foot Chase in Chinatown🚨

👮‍♂️ At approximately 4:00 AM on Saturday morning, an officer on foot patrol in the Chinatown area detained a male following a short foot pursuit.

The male had assaulted a member of the public and committed a theft in the area. When approached, he became aggressive and attempted to flee.

📍 The officer—patrolling near the Chinatown car park as part of ongoing efforts to tackle increased anti-social behaviour (ASB)—quickly gave chase.

⚠️ Although the male was not wanted at the time, he had previously made off from officers in the Piccadilly Gardens area. On this occasion, he was caught and safely arrested.

✅ He has now been charged and remanded into custody.
