HATE CRIME

Dear Resident,

If someone has been physically or verbally abused due to who they are, they may have been a victim of a hate crime or incident.  Our website provides more information on what can classify as a hate crime, but it can include targeting someone due to their race, religion, sexual orientation, disability or whether they are transgender.

Nobody should have to feel scared or vulnerable because the community they belong to. That is why the Met police and partner agencies continue to take a zero - tolerance approach to hate crimes in London.

If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.met.police.uk/, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101. Always 999 if you or someone is in immediate danger.

Kind Regards,

Police Staff Wayne Griffith
