Community Speed Watch as part of National All Out Day


Community Speed Watch – National All Out Day results

 

Community Speed Watch (CSW) Volunteers were out and about throughout yesterday conducting speed checks on roads in their community as part of “Community Speed Watch – National All-Out Day”.

 

PC Jakins and PCSO Boswell visited a number of schemes during patrols yesterday to say thank you for their support and commitment to the scheme in their community.

 

Here are some results from the checks carried out in the communities yesterday.

 

Bakewell CSW volunteers conducted a check in the morning on A6 Buxton Road and one in the afternoon on Baslow Road in Bakewell, both in the 30mph limit. During the check in the morning 343 vehicles went passed the check site on Buxton Road and no motorists were caught exceeding the speed limit, whereby in the afternoon on Baslow Road, 313 vehicles went passed the check site and 12 were observed to be exceeding the 30mph limit.

 

Froggatt CSW volunteers conducted a check in the morning on A625 Froggatt Edge Stretch and during the check, 314 vehicles went passed the check site and 34 vehicles were observed exceeding the 30mph limit.

 

Bradwell CSW volunteers conducted a check in the afternoon on Main Road in Bradwell and during the check, 374 vehicles went passed the check site with 2 vehicles observed exceeding the 30mph limit.

 

Winster CSW volunteers conducted a check in the afternoon on B5057 Wensley Road and the during the check, 223 vehicles went passed the check site with no vehicles being observed exceeding the 30mph limit.
