Take care in the heat

There's been lots of events on today - we hope you are all taking extra care in the heat and please remember, you wouldn't walk around bare foot on the hot pavements whilst wearing a thick winter coat - so please look after your furry friends!

We have assisted Bolsover and Clowne SNT today at the Clowne Gala where we met lots of people and spoke about different concerns.

We then popped to the Langwith Parish Council building to see how the Rhubarb Farm event was getting on.

It's still very hot outside so check in on your neighbours, family and friends who may need some help - and take care of your four-legged friends.

❗Temperatures inside a car can rise to dangerous levels within an hour, even when the outside temperature is around 20 degrees.
If you see a dog in distress in a hot car, dial 999 immediately.

Find out more about the symptoms of heatstroke in dogs on the RSPCA website: https://www.rspca.org.uk/adviceandwelfare/pets/dogs/health/heatstroke

👉🏼 Tomorrow, we will be at the Shirebrook Town Show - pop along to see us at the Police Van and let us sign you up to Derbyshire Alert 😄
