Weather related crime prevention advice.

Dear Resident

No one needs reminding just how hot it has been over the last few days, and is forecast to be so over the weekend.

Many will want to try and still as cool as possible whilst spending time at home.

Windows will understandably be opened to let in some air.

The reminder I want to give everyone is an open window can be an open invitation to an opportunist burglar.

So don't let those opportunist burglars have fun in the sun.

If you have opened an accessible window, please take a moment to close it before leaving the room to pop out to the shop, or even go out into your back garden.

 This will prevent uninvited guests using it to enter your property and leave with your belongings.

So please safely enjoy the sunshine, and keep your property safe.
