I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Road Safety - Speeding in the Community, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

In line with the new NN43 beat priorities, members of the Valley Beat Team have been conducting speed checks at two separate locations in Peggs Green over the last three days.
These locations were chosen due to concerns raised by local residents about the excessive speeds at which vehicles are travelling at!
A total of 277 vehicles were checked on Nottingham Road, Peggs Green with 24 found to be exceeding the speed limit (30mph).
A total of 425 vehicles were checked on Loughborough Road, Peggs Green with 4 found to be exceeding the speed limit (40mph).
Over the coming weeks further checks are to be carried out. Remember adhering to speed limits helps protect everyone on the road. Let’s do our part!
