Beggar Banned from Manchester City Centre After Arrest

A known beggar has been arrested by Greater Manchester Police as part of a wider crackdown on street begging in the city centre.

The individual, was detained near Piccadilly Gardens following reports of persistent and intimidating behaviour toward members of the public.

Following the arrest, strict conditions have been applied prohibiting the offender from entering Manchester City Centre.
