Stockton Town Centre update

I wanted to provide an update to you in regards to issues which have been raised as a concern in the Stockton Town Centre area which have been highlighted on recent priority surveys.

Local officers have been working closely with primary schools in your area to build relations with youths to speak about anti-social behaviour. With the summer holidays coming up we have spoken about the impact in which anti-social behaviour can have on the local community.

Police are continuing to work alongside Stockton Borough Council enforcement officers in Stockton High Street to help make your experience of visiting the High Street and Wellington Square as safe as we can make it. We are continuing to reduce alcohol and drug misuse in and around the area of the fountains as well as the High Street itself, especially on market days (Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays) which are the days that receive the most footfall.

We are also continuing to gather intelligence in relation to drug activity in this area. If you have any information on addresses which you believe could be selling drugs, this can be reported via our 101 service. If you do see any of your local neighbourhood policing officers when in Stockton Town Centre, you are always welcome to speak to us about any issues in your area, we will do our best to resolve this issue where possible.

Kind regards,

PCSO Rhys Coles
