Section 59 issued

Hello,

A male has been given a section 59 warning after police received reports of a 4 wheeled buggy being driven on a bridle path in Greenfield.

Shared bridle paths are for pedestrians, cyclist and horse riders, not for off road vehicles.

The section 59 warning means that in the next 12 months, if the same person or vehicle is seen in an area the public has access to and is driving/being driven in an anti social manner, causing alarm or distress to the public the vehicle can be seized and crushed.

Any vehicle that is caught on public roads without being road registered and insured will also be seized by police.
