Neighbourhood Policing Week |
||
Dear resident, Last week, alongside forces up and down the country we celebrated Neighbourhood Policing Week. From speaking with you, our Surrey community, our neighbourhood teams are using your feedback to identify the areas you’d like to hear more about. Neighbourhood policing teams consist of police officers, PCSOs, and volunteers who all work proudly to support communities and deliver the best possible service to keep people safe. Over the years though, much has changed in policing. Watch here (Neighbourhood Policing) as Inspector James Green and PC Alan Wilcox talk about the differences since they joined. Across our 11 boroughs, each neighbourhood team has identified their specific priorities based on local crime reports. These range from retail crime to drugs or ASB. As part of our commitment to disrupt these and other identified issues, you can expect to see officers patrolling towns, supporting local businesses and hosting engagement events. When you see officers out and about, feel free to chat to them and ask any questions you may have. We are dedicated to tackling anti-social behaviour. In this video (ASB Video), hear from ASB manager Jo Grimshaw as she shares more about what her role entails and why it’s so important. Next week we will be sharing more with you about the work being carried out across the county to disrupt ASB, keep an eye on our social channels to learn more. If you have concerns about ASB locally, you can report via our website (Home | Surrey Police). From bike marking and crime prevention advice stalls to 'meet the beat’s’, your neighbourhood policing teams are always keen to engage with you, the community. We know that this mailing list is your communication preference, but did you know that we have Facebook accounts for each borough where we share updates about what’s happening locally. If you have an account, you can follow your local page here: Mole Valley Beat (Surrey Police) Tandridge Beat (Surrey Police) Reigate and Banstead Beat (Surrey Police) Epsom and Ewell Beat (Surrey Police) Surrey Heath Beat (Surrey Police) Guildford Beat (Surrey Police) Elmbridge Beat (Surrey Police) Spelthorne Beat (Surrey Police) Runnymede Beat (Surrey Police) Kind regards, | ||
