Integrated Neighbourhood Meeting (INM) - Local Authorities Working Together

The Greater Manchester Police City Centre Neighbourhood Policing Team engage with and attend a plethora of partnership meetings across the city. One of the most integral meetings for us is the Integrated Neighbourhood Meeting (INM).

This brings together Police Officers, various Manchester City Council departments and other key organisations including CityCo and Biffa every week to discuss issues affecting the city centre community. All the respective departments submit slides including relevant intelligence, which is compiled into a presentation for all members to see.

This all allows for a multi-agency response to any issues and ensures the right people with the right tools can tackle the relevant problem. Every GMP department at the station is required to provide a weekly update to the group, focusing on local priorities for each area of work. For example, the licensing team will update making everyone aware of reviews to any licensed premises, meanwhile the Street Engagement Team will provide updates on the support offered and those causing the most harm on the streets.

This work helps us to align priorities and ensure we are all focused on the same goals, working together on what matters most to the community. Please report any anti-social behaviour issues to asb.action.team@manchester.gov.uk and any crime to us through 999 in an emergency or 101 for anything non-urgent. You can also report crime online or through our live chat service.
