**Weekly Roundup from Your Valentines SNT Team** |
||
This week, we’ve been out and about promoting the new MET ENGAGE app, designed to bring our communities closer to their local policing teams. We spoke to many residents about how the app helps you: * Get updates from your local officers * Report non-emergency concerns * Stay informed about what’s happening in your area. We carried out several high-visibility patrols in Valentines park, engaging with park users to provide reassurance and deter antisocial behaviour. We spent time speaking with groups of women, discussing concerns around violence against women and girls (VAWG) and highlighting how MET ENGAGE gives them a new way to stay connected and informed. Alongside our neighbouring ward officers, we attended the Zara Aleena vigil in Valentines Park, a poignant reminder of the importance of tackling VAWG and standing in solidarity with victims and their families. In the days that followed, we continued conversations in the community about safety, support, and the resources now available through the MET ENGAGE app. This week was just the beginning. We’re committed to sharing a weekly update at the end of each shift week, so you can stay informed and see the work your local team is doing. Any feedback or advice is welcomed Thank you to everyone who stopped to speak with us, downloaded the app, or shared their concerns. Your voice matters. 👮♀️💬 Stay safe and stay connected – Your Valentines SNT Team | ||
