Stockport town centre officers have today attended Trivelles Hotel, Wellington Road North, Stockport and have delivered training to staff as part of Operation Makesafe. Operation Makesafe, implemented by Greater Manchester Police (GMP), is a national initiative focused on preventing child sexual exploitation within the hospitality sector. It involves engaging with businesses, educating staff, and conducting test purchasing to identify and address potential risks. GMP has been recognized for its leadership in implementing this operation, extending training to hotels, taxi drivers, bus drivers, and ticket inspectors who frequently interact with young people.
