Dear residents of Woodlands, Westwood, Wainbody and Whoberley,

As we step into July, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the work carried out by your local police team throughout June 2025. Sergeant Betts and the team have remained committed to ensuring safety and security for everyone in our community.

Our focus for June was crime investigation throughout the four areas and focusing on the Chapelfields area of Whoberley due to reports of drug use and drug dealing. This yielded numerous stop and searches of individuals and the seizure of drugs.

We made 22 arrests in June for various offences including robbery, shoplifting, serious assaults and warrants issued by courts.

We held community engagement meetings in all four wards, we attended community engagement events at St John Vianney school and Parkhill primary school. We also attended the Finham festival and held a virtual meeting with the Woodlands ward councillors. Also, we conducted a speed enforcement operation on Broad Lane.
