Good Evening All,

I hope you are doing well and enjoying the wonderful warm weather we have been having recently. As much as the warm weather has been great this also leads to increase in criminal behaviour in and around the community, which our neighbourhood team have been working hard to reduce. 

This month our team has been listening to issues around the area in which we have developed our patrol strategy as a means of disrupting anti-social use / drug activity / VAWG / Alcohol related offences in the area, in which we have been successful in our arrest and obtaining positive results to disrupt criminal activity in the area.

This month we have had several arrests in relation to drugs possession / supply with the help from our partnering businesses and residents who have assisted us in information and intelligence to conduct enquiries into issues around their areas involving drug use in the area.

This has further allowed officers to be more robust and pro-active in stop searches around the area in the prevention of drugs use around the street of Northern Quarter which has become an issues for our residents / businesses in the past.

Further to this our officers have been conducting plain clothes operations around Stevenson Square in prevention of violence against women and girls to safeguard our community relating to spiking activity, violence and voyeurism towards females which can be an issue during the night time economy.

It has been a pleasure to get to know some of the local businesses in our community and discuss and concerns and issues ongoing, it massively impacts how we work as a team to assist the area.
