Anti-Social Behaviour Surgery

Residents concerned about anti-social behaviour (ASB) are being invited to attend a surgery where they can get advice from police officers and Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council.

The surgery is being hosted as part of #ASBAwarenessWeek which runs from Monday 30 June to Sunday 6 July.

It will take place at the Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council reception in Welwyn Garden City on Monday 30 June.

Residents can pop in between 11am and 2pm for advice and support.

There will also be local housing providers at the surgery, as well as Beacon, who are an organisation that provides support to victims of crime in Hertfordshire.

Sergeant Neil Gordon, from the Welwyn Hatfield Community Safety Unit, said: “We want to give residents an opportunity to come along and discuss any concerns face to face. Tackling ASB is often a team effort amongst police and other organisations and this surgery gives residents the chance to speak to us all in one place. We know the misery that ASB causes to residents, and we all remain committed to helping those who are being subjected to it.”

Councillor Sandreni Bonfante, Executive Member for Environment, said: “Anti-social behaviour can have a serious impact on both individuals and the wider community, and tackling it remains a top priority for us. We want everyone in Welwyn Hatfield to feel safe and proud of where they live. This ASB surgery is a valuable opportunity for residents to raise concerns, ask questions, and speak directly with the organisations working together to make a real difference. I encourage anyone affected by ASB – or simply looking for advice – to pop in, be heard, and access the support available.”
