Introduction from local officer |
||
Dear Resident, Pillar one is all about getting police back on the beat, carrying out high visibility patrols in key areas. And PCSO Harry Underwood from the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) is doing just that, as the new local PCSO for Boxmoor, Chaulden, Warner’s End and Gadebridge. Since joining the #HemelHempstead team recently, Harry has been out on patrol, getting to know his beat, as well as those who live and work in the community with the help of his NPT colleagues. He has been speaking with residents, councillors and those working in local stores about any issues which they would like to see being addressed by police and partner agencies. A big area of concern is the anti-social and dangerous use of off-road bikes and work is continuing around this, utilising patrols and specialist tactics. If you have any information which may assist us in identifying the riders, or where the bikes are being kept, please contact us. Every call helps us to build up the intelligence we need to take action. NPTs play a vital role in offering a reassuring presence to the public, helping to fight crime and anti-social behaviour. They carry out regular patrols and host public engagement events to help build stronger relationships with the communities they serve. You can keep up to date with police engagements and events in your local area by signing up to our community messaging system Herts Connected, at https://orlo.uk/zFgY0 Alongside the NPT, Dacorum is also policed by Intervention officers who respond to emergency calls, the Local Crime Unit which investigates the more serious crimes such as burglary, robbery and assault, and specialist units who work to tackle issues such as acquisitive crime and domestic abuse. | ||
