St Michael's Team 2 A round up of this week’s work.
Following the discovery of a deceased male’s body, our team were briefed of the offender wanted in connection to the offence. Having solid knowledge of the St Michael's neighbourhood, we were able to track down and arrest the male for murder within a 12-hour period.
Plain clothes officers identified a male acting suspiciously on GORDON STREET which is a high crime area. The male was searched and found to be in possession of 9 wraps of suspected class A drugs, a phone which showed evidence in being concerned in the supply of drugs and a large value of cash. He was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply (PWITS) and presented to court.
We had the pleasure in locking up a male that for months thought he had ‘got away with it’! Officers, back in Oct 2024 seizure over 300 wraps of confirmed class A drugs after stopping 2 males in a car, the 2 males were arrested at the time…… In June 2025 forensic results identified a 3rd DNA profile all over the large quantity of drugs and a warrant for the arrest of the male was issued……….. our team acted quickly in locating the male and subsequently arrested him for possession with intent to supply (PWITS). The reality is that drug-related activity has a destructive impact on families and the wider community. Our team strive daily to tackle this activity, to disrupt county line activity and reduce drug related issues within the city.
A female who had conducted a street robbery for a phone and cash in the area of Stoney Stanton Road was identified and shortly located and arrested by our team, who knew the offender’s regular haunts. With the warmer weather over the last week, we have seen an increase in people riding bikes in the city centre, please remember that the majority of the city centre is pedestrian only. In recent weeks a large number of Deliveroo and Uber eats cyclists have been given words of advice and informed their bikes will be seized if they are caught riding repeatedly in the centre Coventry City Council website has some great information about cycling in the city:- Where to ride – Coventry City Council
