'It is soul destroying': Slattery issues urgent warning after being plagued by 'Sue'

You may have seen the article on this crime series relating to “Sue” who was mentioned in the local press as having stolen items from Slattery Chocolatiers and other retail stores in the Bury area.

Late update - “Sue” was arrested and charged with a number of thefts in the Bury area including two from Slattery and others from Home Bargains.

Susan Green 28/01/1977 of Lepp Crescent in Bury, was arrested by officers from the Bury Neighbourhood team and following interview was charged with the offences. She was remanded to court, bail having been denied.

The defendant was heard at Magistrates court today (23rd June 2025) and pleaded guilty to the charges. 

She was bailed from court to reappear on the 2nd July 2025 for sentencing.
