It's now even easier to contact your local Safer Neighbourhood Team.

Dear Resident,

It is now even easier to get in contact with your local Safer Neighbourhood Team, thanks to our upgraded Neighbourhood Matters community messaging service. Neighbourhood Matters was first introduced in July 2021, and enables residents, business and community groups across Worcestershire, Shropshire, Herefordshire and Telford & Wrekin to find out more about what is happening in their local community.

The new upgraded system will make it easier to contact safer neighbourhood officers and Police Community Support Officers through an email system and by providing mobile phone numbers to directly contact Safer Neighbourhood Teams whilst they are on duty. This is in line with the West Mercia Police local policing community charter, which sets how the force will engage and communicate with communities.

The Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) for Broseley and Much Wenlock are Police Constable (PC) Emma Strangwood and Police Community Support Officers (PCSO) Helen Scott and Malcolm Goddard.

This morning, PC Emma Strangwood and PCSO Helen Scott were on foot patrol on the High Street in Broseley, engaging with residents, visitors and the staff at a number of the commercial premises in the town.

This afternoon the team have been in touch with our colleagues at the Anti-Social Behaviour hub to discuss how to take action against a number of individuals identified as riding illegal bikes in an anti-social and dangerous manner around the town.

This evening PCSO Malcolm Goddard will be making a reassurance visit to a victim of a burglary to offer practical crime prevention advice.  The victim has already been visited by our crime scene investigators.

To find details of how to contact your local Safer Neighbourhood Team, visit the Neighbourhood Matters website at www.neighbourhoodmatters.co.uk, and search using your postcode or street address.

To report crime, please visit www.westmercia.police.uk. In an emergency, always dial 999.

Kind regards,

PCSO Malcolm Goddard
