A man has been charged after a mobile phone was stolen from a shop in Leek.

Thomas Mellor, 41, from Leek, has been charged with theft from the person of another.

It comes after a mobile phone was stolen from a business on Market Place, Leek, on Saturday (21 June). The phone was later recovered by officers 

Mellor is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Monday 23 June).
