It’s not all about arresting naughty people… 

It’s about support and education too.

This weekend myself, PC Willett and other Officers took some time out from our beats to take a number of Leicestershire Police Cadets and members of a youth group from Leicestershire’s twin city Krefeld in Germany to the Lake District to take part in the annual Light the Lakes event for the Care of Police Survivors, a charity that supports the families of police officers that die on duty by helping families rebuild their shattered lives.

Police Cadets is run by a team of volunteers who give up their time to support young people, if you are interested in being a Police Cadet look on the Leicestershire Police website for more information.
