A Tamworth man has been charged with two sexual offences.

Ali Shamre, aged 29, from the Tamworth area was arrested on 21 June and has been charged with an adult attempting to meet a girl under 16 years of age following grooming and an adult attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.

Shamre has been remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at magistrate’s court.
