Dear residents of Hucclecote and Barnwood, please be aware that we have had a report of a roof repair company carrying out unnecessary roof repairs and then asking for advanced sums of money paid by cash. These works are not needed and they prey on the vulnerable and elderly. Please can you spread this message, so that we can help to safeguard those who may be an easy target  for these criminals. 

There are professional roofing companies, but there are also those who are not, so it is always best to check their credentials or go on trusted recommendation.
