This was a multi – agency approach that had taken place on 20/06/25. This was organised by St Mary’s Policing Team/ Beever primary School/ Local residents working together with Guinness Partnership/Local Authority/ First Choice Homes and Mahdlo. All partners attended along with Beever Primary School Mini Police and Holy Cross School.
This was a successful event that clearly demonstrated a Community pulling together
Special thanks must go to Beever Primary School Head Teacher for being the key driver to the success of this event with excellent support from partner agencies.
This event came about due to residents complaining about fly-tipping in the area to the school direct and through Parent/Police Surgeries held in the school by PCSO Bigland .
This then resulted in organising this event. The main area of concern being play area on Wastwater Street. This area is Known as ‘the kick-pitch’ by most of the kids in school, this area was in a mess and with our long Summer break from school quickly approaching, many of the young people will want to play here and in the state it was in they wouldn’t have been able to play there safely. After the event, we will be sending local residents before/after photographs and some information about how in future you can dispose of your rubbish properly. PLEASE help us to keep our community clean and tidy!
