Prolific city centre offender remanded to court


On 21/06/2025 southern gateway officers from the C relief City Centre neighbourhood team arrested a prolific offender on cross street for a racially aggravated public order offence and persistent begging despite having been granted accomodation and a variety of support. He was charged and bailed to attend court regarding the begging offence with a full city centre exclusion.

 

Merley 4 hours after his release he was caught by southern gateway officers from A relief city centre neighbourhood team flaunting his bail conditions in Albert Square. He was promptly arrested and remanded to attend court on 21/06/2025.

 

This was a joint effort between the city centre neighbourhood teams to tackle antisocial behaviour across the city centre. Keep an eye out on Facebook for our regular coffee with a cop events to find out more about what we are doing in the community.
