Elland Ward Forum - Report of Nuisance Bike - Update

Dear Resident

At the Elland Ward forum on Wednesday a member of the community shared a picture of an off-road bike that has been used in the local area in an anti-social manner.

This image was shared with local officers, who were able to identify the individual driving the vehicle.

Officers and the local PCSO have attended the address this morning. The vehicle was not present, but the rider was. The rider has been served a S59 Warning which means that if seen again, the vehicle can be seized. The driver has also been reported for driving offences.

We will continue to tackle anti-social behaviour in Elland with a focus on robust action against those use vehicles in an anti-social manner.

To help provide the best chance of successful action, when reporting an incident please try to provide;

A name or good description of the rider and the bike – are there any distinctive markings or stickers.

  • A registration number if it can be seen – Partial registrations are also welcome.
  • An address of where the bike is stored or comes from and goes to (if known)
  • As much detail as possible about the nuisance, the dates and times, the riders, the bikes, and any vehicles used to transport them if that is the case.
  • Any footage or pictures you may have to help identify the rider or bike (including Dash-Cam footage or doorbell footage)
  •
