TOWN CENTRE AND TOWN NORTH UPDATE

Town Centre and Town North Update

End of the week which has certainly been as varied as a box of liquorice allsorts. Incidents attended and dealt with ranged from:

RTCs - no injuries to report but a bit more than fender benders.

Missing persons – All located and individual needs passed on to relevant partner agencies.

Town Patrols - Lots of positive engagements with locals residents and liaison working with the brilliant Security team and with a tip off from the retail radio system found a male trying to use funny money in town.  Suspect made off but not before his get away car’s details were captured and soon it’ll be game of knock, door, hello hello hello.

Patrols were also carried out in the Country park, Town Park and attended a  coffee morning to hear concerns from local residents in a slightly more relaxed environment.  These we carry out on a regular basis referred to as Beat Surgeries – like a walk in centre without the  queueing.

Beat officers also carried out patch walks with Council Officers to monitor closed properties and a couple of visits to the skate park area and had some positive chats with some of Melton’s younger answer to Evel Knieval.

The week is set to get even hotter the weatherman says – sometimes you wish it was Michael Fish for just a little bit of 🌧to cool things down, so officers will be patrolling… hotspots (sorry 😎) especially the open water areas so please make sure your children stay safe, and mums and dads as well obviously.  Please be careful everyone as a yellow weather warning has been given by the Met office and it is set to get very hot. Great weather for the BBQ but not so good for the dogs paws if walking out on the pavements 😉.
