We are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Newcastle-under-Lyme. 

Officers were called to Bridge Street at 2.30am on Sunday 18 May after a man was punched and kicked by a group of men. 

The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries but has thankfully been discharged.
