Witness appeal following burglary in Odiham

We are appealing for witnesses and information following reports of a burglary in Odiham.

Officers were called to a report that a shed at a property on Archery Fields had been accessed at around 6am on Saturday 14 June. A metal sheet and steel pipes were stolen.

Since this was reported to us, officers have been carrying out enquiries and are asking people with information to come forward.

Were you in the area at the time? Did you witness any suspicious behaviour? Do you have any relevant CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage that could help?

Anyone with information is asked to contact 101, quoting 44250260672, or report online: https://www.hampshire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/

Below is a useful link to important advice and tips on how to better secure outbuildings.

We often don’t secure our sheds and garages in the same we do our homes - often using an easy-to-break lock or padlock to protect valuable contents such as a car, bike or lawnmower.

An opportunistic burglar will often try a shed or garage first because they can get easier access to expensive items, as well as find the tools they need to break into a residential property.

In short, lock it, alarm it, hide it and mark it. Read more here: https://www.hampshire.police.uk/cp/crime-prevention/protect-home-crime/secure-shed-garage/
