Tent Security for those who are going away over the next few months and be using a tent.

With festivals taking place and local countryside events coming up where people often stay in tents for them.

The Safer Neighbourhood Team are circulating the following crime prevention advice regarding tent security.

• Consider putting a tent peg through the zip on the inside of your tent when sleeping.
• Keep valuables items with you or inside your sleeping bag at night.
• Take a money belt that you can keep with you at all times.
• Don’t leave anything valuable inside you tent and always take valuable items along with you.

If you see anyone at an event you are attending acting suspiciously, please report it to any security or organisers on the site who can then make enquiries and contact the police.
