Hi Resident, Congratulations! Your Neighbourhood Watch scheme for Wilmslow - Gravel Lane (Part) & Cottage Grove has been NW approved and Police approved! This means that it will be visible using a postcode search on the ourwatch.org.uk website. It also means that you will be able to see the details of Alert members within your scheme area and invite them to join your scheme online. Becoming a coordinator has never been easier, or more rewarding. Neighbourhood Watch is about knowing your neighbours, being neighbourly and looking out for each other. You will have access to lots of information to keep your neighbourhood safe, including crime prevention advice and community safety toolkits. You will be the main point of contact between your scheme members, your local policing team, and other local partners to receive and cascade information relevant to your scheme members. As a Coordinator you may wish to do more and arrange events and local activities for your members. This is dependent on how much time you choose to dedicate to the role. I see that you have already applied to join the new Facebook group that has been set up for coordinators. There is not much on there yet as its only just gone ‘live’ but will hopefully be populated with items soon.If you sign into your account now - you will see your scheme listed at the bottom with the ability to message anyone who is attached to the scheme who is registered on Police Alert. It also provides you with some tools - see below.But the benefit of a Whats App group is you can message anyone in the group with updates that you receive via Police Alert.I have asked that 2 street signs and a number of leaflets be sent out to you in the next week.
