If you were out and about in Solihull yesterday, you might have noticed an increased police presence.  This was because there was a force operation being carried out across the borough, known as 'Op Advance' .

This is a policing operation that moves from area to area across the West Midlands throughout the year.   Officers that usually work in areas outside of Solihull came and worked from here for the day along with colleagues from specialist departments including force Operations teams and traffic. 
 

The day of action saw a host of activity take place including drugs warrants and off road bike operations in our parks to traffic and vehicle crime hot spot patrols.
 

It was a very busy day that saw officers make 18 arrests for a range of offences including theft of motor vehicle, wounding, domestic abuse harassment and theft from shops.
