Hello all. 

Just a quick message about Vehicle Excise Licence (VEL) or in old money, vehicle tax!          

It's not just the DVLA who can seize untaxed vehicles, we (the police) can too, which is exactly what I did this afternoon following a complaint about the vehicle.

There is certain criteria that governs the seizures which isn't always met and in those cases we can inform the DVLA who will arrange the clamping of untaxed vehicles and if necessary their seizure by their contractors.

So, the days of the below are long gone, please ensure your vehicle is taxed.
