Good afternoon all 

Speeding past a marked police vehicle in a built up area is bad enough but to do so without insurance is even worse. 

Well that is what happened today whilst I was on mobile patrol in Cayton. The vehicle in question was stopped on way to Cayton Bay and it was quickly identified as having no insurance.  Subsequently the vehicle has been seized and the keeper had a long walk home back to West Yorkshire. They have also been reported for the offence of driving without the relevant insurance. 

As part of our patrols we do carry out speed checks but sometimes things just fall in your lap… or speed right by you. 

We will continue to take action against those on the road that put us and our property at risk.
