🚨 Neighbourhood Task Force & Beat Update – The Mega Edition! 🚨

Hello Resident

We know it’s been a while since our last update – turns out fighting crime, keeping roads safe, and chasing down e-scooters doesn’t leave much time for social media. But fear not! We’ve bundled some of our activity into one action-packed update. Buckle up! 🏍️💨

Friday Night Lights (and Flashing Blues):
We kicked off the weekend with a bang – or rather, a stop. A vehicle in Smeeth was pulled over and surprise! The driver was disqualified. 🚫🚗 Nice try, but we’ve got eyes everywhere.

PC Laker Rides Again – Rural Edition:
As part of Volunteer Week, PC Laker and our fantastic Special Constables took to the countryside, patrolling the rural roads and keeping things peaceful. 🚜🌾

During their patrol, they were called to a disturbance in Tenterden! Thanks to quick teamwork and some solid boots-on-the-ground policing, the situation was swiftly resolved.

Big thanks to our Special Constabulary for their continued support—whether it’s calming chaos or catching countryside speedsters, we’ve got it covered. 🕵️‍♂️🐑🚓

Scooter Shenanigans:

E-scooters have zoomed to the top of the priority list, closely followed by road safety issues. We're here to listen—and more importantly, to take action on the matters that matter most to you.

Two e-scooters were seized in town. If you’re going to ride one, make sure it’s legal – and not being used for a quick getaway. 🛴💥 Lets be serious, these things are dangerous and can cause serious injury. You will be dealt with if you are stopped riding them.

A motorbike rider in the town centre decided to treat everyone to an impromptu rev-off, making sure no one within a five-mile radius missed it. Unfortunately for him, our officers weren’t handing out applause—they were handing out a Section 59 warning. Consider it a not-so-golden buzzer. 🎤🏍️🚫

Night Owls on Patrol:
Our officers were out and about keeping the town safe after dark. We were called to Cameo where someone decided to redecorate with a bit of criminal damage. The suspect legged it, but we caught up and issued a community resolution. Moral of the story: CCTV is really good now - 5k quality and PC MURRELL can run really fast. 🎭🕵️‍♀️

This targeted work is all in direct response to the concerns you've raised in your communities. E-scooters have emerged as a top priority, closely followed by road safety issues. We're here to listen, and more importantly, to take action on the matters that mean the most to you.

Make sure we are tackling the issues that matter to you, fill in the survey below - and as you can see, we will respond accordingly.

YOU SAY - WE DO

That’s all for now, folks! We’ll try not to leave it so long next time – but if we do, just know it’s because we’re out there doing the good stuff. 💙

Stay safe, stay kind, and maybe don’t try to outrun the police on an e-scooter.

👮‍♂️👮‍♀️
