The arrival of our new Northwich Youth Engagement Officer caused quite a scene as PC Ward visited Weaverham High School. Students enjoyed the opportunity to check out the police vehicle during their lunch break and had some great interactions with the team. We’re looking forward to building on this with regular open police surgeries at all the High Schools within NORTHWICH LPU —giving students the chance to drop in for a chat, ask questions, and get to know their youth engagement officer.

School parking patrol was later conducted around WEAVERHAM HIGH SCHOOL with PCSO Michelle.  All appeared to be in order.

You Said, We Did .....

Speed was a concern on NORLEY ROAD CUDDINGTON.  Speed enforcement conducted, the highest recorded speed captured being 37 mph. Video evidence will be processed for our central ticket office to progress further.

This week, residents of FERN WAY met with CWAC Councillor EDWARDS, the WEAVERHAM Parish Clerk, a CWAC Enforcement Officer, and myself to discuss parking concerns within their close and explore potential solutions. Further meetings will be arranged in due course to continue addressing the issue.

You said, we did…

Following concerns raised about parking on Fern Way, the CWAC Enforcement Officer and I carried out a patrol of the Weaver & Cuddington ward. This included visits to several locations: Forsters Avenue, Weaverham High school, Forest Street school, Church Street car park, Mere Lane car park, Grange Road, Fir Lane, and Ash Road. Penalty notices were issued for the following parking contraventions:

Parking on yellow lines

Refusing to move off school zigzags

Displaying incorrect information in a disabled bay

Thank you to the five motorists who engaged positively and relocated their vehicles to safer locations.

Fun day at CUDDINGTON FETE - A big thank you to everyone who spoke to us and took the time to complete a resident voice survey. We received 41 completed surveys, which will help play a key role in helping us better understand your concerns many of which related to our ward. To have your say, complete our survey link attached-  https://www.cheshire.police.uk/residentsvoicenorthwich

You said ... parking was a concern around FARM ROAD/CHURCH LANE.

We did ... parking patrol this morning and all appeared to be in order.

Lovely engagement with members of the faith community at St Mary's Church this morning. It was great to meet BISHOP Sam following the service.

A reassurance visit has been made to a member of our community living with dementia, working alongside their family to complete a Herbert Protocol form. This proactive step can save vital time and provide critical information to emergency services in the event the person goes missing or becomes confused about their whereabouts. If you know someone who may benefit from completing a Herbert Protocol form, please contact your local PCSO, who will be happy to assist you with the process. Alternatively, the form can be completed online via the following link:  https://www.cheshire.police.uk/advice/advice-and-information/missing-person/missing-persons/vulnerable-people-at-risk-of-going-missing/dementia-missing-risk-herbert-protocol/

Street a Week conducted on FIR LANE. CUDDINGTON, to discuss local community issues and concerns (being parking). Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete a Resident Voice Survey. For those who weren’t home, a survey has been posted through your letterbox — please feel free to complete it at your convenience.
