Officers recover first 'ghost gun' and ammunition as drug dealer jailed


A drug dealer who was in possession of a ‘ghost gun’ has been jailed for more than seven years.

 

Veke Koissia Soumahoro (25/03/2000) was arrested by our County Lines Team in November 2024 and charged with several offences.

Among items found at his address on Mornington Road, Bolton, was a ‘significant amount' of crack cocaine and heroin and the Polymer80 ‘ghost gun’.

 

A ‘ghost gun’ is a viable weapon that is untraceable as it has no identifiers and can be made from a kit or from separate parts, or even a 3D printer.

 

The find is the first within GMP and was made from a kit with that contains parts with no serial numbers from which the buyer can build a gun.

 

Drugs seized during the arrest had a street value of around £28,500 with the drugs line valued at £183,150.

Soumahoro pleaded guilty to:

: Possession of a firearm

: Possession of ammunition for a firearm without a certificate

: Being concerned in the supply of heroin

: Being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine

: Possession with intent to supply heroin

: Possession with intent to supply crack cocaine

 

He was jailed for seven years and six months at Bolton Crown Court on Tuesday (3/6/25).

 

Since Sept 2022 to end of March 2025, our County Lines operation has:
