🚨Whitefield Neighbourhood Policing Team Update 🚨

We have been working tirelessly over the past few weeks to target issues within the community.

👮🏼‍♂️ Yesterday, the team spent time at Morrisons engaging with the public & advertising our community event; which is this Saturday! Feel free to join us at St Bernadette’s School between 9am and 4pm!

🧯Two separate groups of juveniles have recently been setting fires & causing ASB in Whitefield Park. Our team have spent countless hours working with the individuals concerned; hoping that our work behind the scenes will prevent further issue and ensure that behaviours do not escalate into criminality. We have received no further reports of fires at this location. 

🚒 We have been speaking with local schools, alongside Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue, to deliver Fire Smart sessions to young people. We hope to conduct these sessions prior to the summer holidays! The Fire Smart intervention sessions includes discussions on the following: Arson and the law

🥾 We have conducted foot patrols on Stanley Road and in Whitefield Park. We came across a group of juveniles smoking cannabis in the park. The group made off; resulting in 1 male being subjected to a Stop Search. The group were not expecting us to return later the same night! We conducted a further 4 further Stop Searches; one of which was positive for cannabis. The person concerned received a Community Resolution.
