Walsall Police - Keeping you updated

Dear Resident

Neighbourhood officers across the Walsall borough have been busy over the last week engaging with both StreetWatch and Speedwatch volunteers, seizing off-road bikes and supporting Walsall Council’s Trading Standards team.

  • Our Bloxwich neighbourhood team reunited a stolen motorbike with its rightful owner and hit the streets with our fantastic StreetWatch volunteers.
  • Willenhall officers went out with the Stroud Avenue StreetWatch team and also seized a van which had been used in crime.
  • St Matthew’s officers conducted a community SpeedWatch after concerns were raised about speeding on Birmingham Road. Our Officers would like to say a big thank you to members of the community who took time out to join us. Vehicles which were caught speeding will be issued with a warning.
  • Officers in Brownhills carried out patrols at stores to deter business crime and targeted the High Street looking for suspicious behaviour and focusing on areas of reported anti-social behaviour. They also supported an Op Hercules Operation to tackle illegal off-road biking with three bikes seized and arrests made.
  • Aldridge officers carried out patrols around Pomeroy Road and Doe Bank  in Pheasey following reports of anti-social behaviour in the area by a group of youths and we will be conducting further patrols in this area to tackle any issues.
  • Our Darlaston team also worked alongside Walsall Council’s Trading Standards to disrupt the supply of illegal goods with the seizure of 23,000 cigarettes,  104 packs of tobacco and 150 vapes.
  • Celebrating National Volunteers Week

As part of National Volunteer Week, Walsall Police would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of our dedicated volunteers who give their time, energy, and commitment to supporting our local communities.

From Special Constables working alongside officers on the frontline, to Police Cadets making a difference in their communities, and Street Watch volunteers helping keep an eye on local areas, our volunteers are making a real impact every single day.

Their contributions make a real difference, and we are incredibly proud to have such committed individuals standing alongside us.

From all of us at Walsall Police – thank you for everything you do.
